Marabu Nails and ENKOTEC have been partners since 2010, when Marabu acquired an ENKOroll to thread nails that they made on conventional machinery.
Their experience with us was so positive that they also decided to buy an ENKOnail, to supply nails to the thread roller.
High-Speed Production From Day One
The Indonesian nail producer PT. Industri Paku Ulir Marabu (Marabu Nails) was founded in 1979 and today employs 50 people. In the early stages the company manufactured umbrella head roofing nails and from the mid 1980’s Marabu Nails started producing other special nails, including spiral thread pallet nails. Today the company produces several types of nails such as flat head roofing nails, pallet nails, collated nails, stainless steel nails, as well as small-volume custom-made nails.
Due to an increase in the sale of collated pallet nails, which require high quality nails Marabu Nails decided to look into new machinery. Production Manager Mr Hujaya Asikin: “This led us to consider ENKOTEC machines which produce 100% quality nails, oil-free, thus eliminating the need for a tumbling process as well as securing a high production rate.”
In 2010 Marabu Nails decided to first acquire an ENKOroll thread rolling machine. The machine ran full speed only after a few hours of setting up by an ENKOTEC service engineer and it has been running trouble-free since the time of installation.
ENKOTEC Exceeds Expectations
Initially Marabu had concerns regarding tooling costs, but it was soon evident that tool life exceeded all expectations. Therefore, in early 2013 Marabu Nails decided to add an ENKOnail rotary nail machine to supply nails for the thread roller. Again, the machine ran smoothly from day one and tool life also exceeded expectations, thus reducing production costs.
